He Restores My Soul | A Poem

Hiya folks.

I was reading through Psalms 23 recently and I decided to write some poetry of my own; a series of haikus actually. This life is painful, but I’m grateful for glimpses of restoration I have experienced in my life. It points me towards to the hope we have of ultimate restoration in Christ.

I hope it encourages your heart.

The sun is shining,
My heart is slowly healing,
He restores my soul.

I can feel again,
Life’s most basic sensations,
He restores my soul.

The clouds roll back now,
Moonlight drenches the evening,
He restores my soul.

My heart is not whole,
Yet more happy than ever,
He restores my soul.

Art holds new int’rest,
Inspiration and passion,
He restores my soul.

The sun is setting,
My heart is finally healing,
He restores my soul.
