Three Things That Make Me Smile

So, this post isn’t going to be long or well written.

I haven’t spent hours thinking through the most clever way I can communicate a deep theological truth.

I didn’t spend forever looking for a perfect picture for my heading.

I’m just gonna ramble about some things that are making me smile tonight.

I’m happy about lavender essential oil.

No, I’m not a crazy hippie and I don’t think oils are the cure to mankind’s many ailments. It’s really nice to be able to come back to my room after a long day at work and be able to relax while my diffuser bubbles beside me.

I’m happy about chapstick.

For realsies. Chapstick is a lifesaver. The air has been so dry where I live, and chapped lips are no fun. Chapstick is a gift from God to quench the lips of those who aren’t blessed with the best hydrated skin.

On a more serious note, I’m really happy about converstaions I have here at college.

I love having friends who will sit down and talk with about theology and church history for hours on a saturday night. I’m grateful for friends that push me closer to Jesus every day. I’m blessed to have friends who care about the important things, laugh at the silly things, and smile about the little things.

That’s why I’m happy tonight.
